The Bio-Art Rail Mounting Plate was developed specifically to allow for the removal of the plaster model without the need to break it, which is the case with most conventional mounting plates.
For proper functioning, certain precautions must be taken when assembling and disassembling the model, as per the following procedure:
1) During assembly, apply plaster to fill the entire internal space formed between the retaining walls (A) and the base of the rail design, ensuring better retention of the model.
2) The finish of the model on the side edge of the mounting plate must be free of plaster along its entire length to ensure its detachment and sliding during removal.
3) Before removing the model, the plaster contained in the retention channel (B) of the plate must be removed using a pointed tool (e.g., Lecron). This retention hole serves to prevent the model from spontaneously coming out of the mounting plate during work with the articulator.
4) After removing all the plaster from the retention hole, firmly hold the model and gently tap the edge of the plate in the direction indicated by the arrows on the underside of the plate. This will cause the plate to detach from the plaster and slide easily out of the model.
Note: Once the model is removed from the rail mounting plate, we cannot guarantee its replacement with the same precision as the initial working position, as this depends entirely on the technical quality of the work as well as the quality of the materials used in the process (plaster)
